Welcome to Maypark Dental Practice

Dear Patients,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through quite a lot over the past few months, and we are all looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your previous visits. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable. We would like to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our practice follows infection control recommendations made by the Irish Dental Association, the Dental Council and the HSE. We follow the activities of these agencies closely so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We have made these changes to protect both you, and our staff. Before your next appointment for example:

 We will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. We may ask some of these same questions on the day of your appointment. We will also take your temperature with a non-contact thermometer. We would ask you to brush your teeth at home rather than when you arrive.

 When you arrive please let us know by phoning reception on 01-8313557. If you are travelling by car, you may park in the driveway; please leave all non-essential personal items in the car.

 We have hand sanitizers that we will ask you to use when you enter. You will also find some in the reception area and other places for you to use as needed.

 You may see that our waiting room no longer offers magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.

 We have placed highly effective air sterilizers in the practice which remove and kill all viruses, bacteria, fungi, spores etc. We also have air disinfection misting routines which specifically kill Covid-19 on contact. Staff will be wearing PPEs including masks, visors etc. These measures are in addition to our normal sterilization/cross-infection protocols.

 We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the building at any one time.

 Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That unfortunately might mean that you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call us at 01-8313557. Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back soon.
Yours sincerely,
Maypark Dental Team

We are committed to providing our patients with the highest quality of dental treatment in a gentle, knowledgeable and efficient manner.

There has been a dental practice at 7 Maypark on the Malahide Road since 1957. Dr. Vincent Nolan took over the practice in 1982 and has continually modernised and upgraded the premises and equipment during the ensuing years. Today it is a fully modern facility with digital radiography, computerised records and state of the art dental equipment.
